The Families

                                                            

Francisco Gamarra (25), Melissa Duarte (22) and Johan (3) live in Francisco´s family home, they got a plot near and always wanted to build their own home there.

He works in ARCOIRIS S.A. and she works in the International Sanatorium of Luque.They both are looking forward to move in their own home with their son, where he can grow up in his own family environment.



                                                            


Iván Miranda (23), Ana Celeste Martínez (24) and Lucía Alejandra (5) live in Iván´s mom´s house, they got married two years ago and bought their own plot after that.

They been trying to build their own home since they were together.When they found out that there will be volunteers at their build, they got really excited





Hugo Valdéz (32), Fátima (31) and Mateo (3) live in Fatima´s parents´ house. He works in SAGUAN S.A. as an accountant and she works in DYNAMUS S.A. as a supermarkets supervisor.
They been dreaming on having their own home since they got married.They are so happy that their going to have help from people that come from so far away.

The Typical Home:

The project is a progressive house (pictured below). It is adapted to the needs and resources of the family, with the opportunity to build more additions when they are financially able.

Rain Day! 🌧💧💧💧No physical work today.  We were so keen! Here’s our Habitat family!  So many interesting cultural experiences... we visited the first Habitat homes in Paraguay from 1999. Here they are.... And so many interesting images of Habitat Paraguay... And the build sites are flooded but should be interesting and hard work as mostly digging foundations and septic!! Those are the wonderful families we are building for! And there are kids... and more kids!!!

Work day!  Yahoo! But so  unbelievably hot!!! Windchill 37 C☀️  Site 1- Antonio’s site ( Francisco and Melissa’s home). Today’s work was digging foundations, moving rocks, making cement by hand, and throwing  Edit mortar under the hot sun.  All directed by our amazing masons.  Site 2- Pablo’s  site ( Hugo and Fatima’s home)  Task #1 - move a tree- Foundation done! While digging and moving rocks and bricks we enjoyed the wildlife on our site.  New chicks coming.... Tarantula.. Site 3 - Cristobal ( Ivan and Celeste’s home)  Trenches, moving rocks, and digging septic under the hot sun ☀️.  A few artistic photos taken during break time.
